Our high season is from December through May. This is the time of year when temperatures are the most moderate and humidity is at its lowest. If you plan on traveling during this time of the year, make your reservations early to ensure you get the rooms you want. While some guests are off-put by the term “rainy season,” this is often the best time to to book your stay at hotels in Playa del Carmen.
The rainy season in Playa doesn’t mean there will be rain all day and night. In fact, most of the time our days are still warm and sunny. Then, in the afternoon, storm clouds move in and guests often enjoy the gorgeous lightning displays that form over the water. Once they’re over, skies clear and the temperature cools, so you can enjoy nighttime activities with a reprieve from the heat and humidity.
